Customer Review

Introduction:
=========
The smartphone I have now for almost 2 months. So I can report about first experiences with the device without super to have the feeling of something new, to be dazzled. Decided I have because without me want to wait for the first reviews, here more power reserves in connection with the qHD display could be available for the 32GB variant. I have replaced my good reliable Samsung Galaxy S2, which I had gotten used nearly 3 years.

Appearance
===============
Compared to the S2 G3 is of course huge. And that is now also no wonder grown at 1.2 display size has already set something. But by the brilliant display to the housing ratio G3 acts still pretty handy. I got used to it after a good 1-2 weeks to the size and it would also not want to miss.
The build quality is here at a very high level. The back is tight and also the gaps are even tiny. Here LG has done a very good job. Also, the rounded back feels in connection with the metallic-finished plastic wonderfully in the hand. I had even though only briefly times a HTC One in the hand, but I personally find the G3 has the advantage that you have resorted to plastic, otherwise probably would not be the light weight and the replaceable battery would not have been feasible. Thus, it can be said here that the back looks like an aluminum dish and as high-quality plastic feel. Other manufacturers can learn a lot of time here.

Display
======
We have at home a LG G2 and the new G3 LG. I can therefore report firsthand that there are visual differences between FullHD and QHD. The presentation is simple again slightly sharper. But this is a circumstance that you only notice when you have both displays side by side. He exists, but usually not noticeable. But noticeable is something else, something of a negative effect. And although not yet allow all apps dealing with the qHD display. This has indeed been improved over the last two months, but there are still applications that are not to be installed in the G3. I think if other manufacturers also offer qHD resolutions, this malaise will also dissolve fairly quickly into thin air.
I can say that it can be wonderfully serve look and read the display itself. Both in light and in dark places I could easily use the applications. However, the light sensor works a bit sluggish, so if the phone out of your pocket is taken and you activate it, it takes 1-2 seconds until it readjusts itself.
I am very happy with the display, the size is wonderful and perfect for me as not only one-handed operator.

Camera
=======
The built-in cameras in smartphones are seldom really good. Especially in low light conditions not so great pictures come out since, but for snapshots ranging mostly from. I myself find the camera with the quality of images and the service just ok. It is not a real highlight, but the photos look pretty good. I welcome the quick reaction time when triggered. Here the laser sensor is really noticeable. The fact that you can tap the screen to trigger everywhere is quite comfortable, but it means that you sometimes inadvertently makes one or the other image more. But this is about to change the settings at any time. The front camera with the Selfie gesture control is a funny thing, and it works perfectly.
Software
========
The Android software is installed in version 4.4.2 (KitKat) on the smartphone. Currently, there is no evidence of an update to 4.4.4. In my smartphone LG has rolled out but already 3 update packages. Here, however, were merely improvements to the battery, made to the KnockOn / Code and other trifles. On the one hand it is good that LG here a lot and subsequently supply promptly, on the other hand it shows that the delivery status of the phone did not seem to be optimal.
For software and service extent I am like the G2 my wife very enthusiastic. Power modes can be modified, a guest mode can be set, and also other personalized things can be achieved through the settings. Toll is also the creation of folders by simply the desired icons superimposed draws. Then you can assign the folder name and even colors. This makes the surface quite something clear and something personalized.
The KnockOn feature is an ingenious invention, it works more reliably than in G2. I myself use the Knock Code feature, but this is somewhat error-prone and often my inputs are not detected. That's annoying, but this feature can be disabled easily.

Accumulator
=====
About the battery performance of the G3, there are many reports in the network to read, to which I also will not go into. The mileage of a phone is always dependent on user behavior. Thus, my experience can not be compared with others. But I am fully satisfied with the performance of the battery. With my usage behavior that I have not changed with respect to the Galaxy S2, I come to a mileage of 65 to 75 hours. With my predecessor I eventually came to just under 24 hours. That's a significant difference when comparing the performance differences of both devices. What is enabled with me, well WiFi and mobile data are always employed, just as Bluetooth and automatic display adjustment to 75%. Otherwise, I use my phone for surfing, calls, Whatsapp messages distributed and play a few games a day. The whole thing keeps me in check. If a game the phone fairly heavily used, you can already see how quickly the percentage values of the batteries are smaller, but that is for all devices of the case. Personally, I can say here that the software updates have also contributed their part to ensure that the mileage has increased by almost 10 hours and I'm so on the values mentioned above. Since the battery also can not be replaced, I'm thrilled at the point completely.

Performance
===========
The system runs very smoothly se. The Snapdragon 801, the Adreno 330, and 3 GB of memory to work quickly and reliably, even the access to the external 32GB SD card is very fast. Mikroruckler I have now and then when I go from the homescreen to menu and vice versa. The other loading operations run smoothly. The updates have indeed brought relief, but it is not completely gone. You get used to it and I find it also no longer on. I myself can not run benchmarks, as I see no real added value of these programs. I think to be able to assess that the existing capacity is enough for me personally and I need no confirmation that my phone in the benchmark now enters 35500 or 35600 points. He is fast, and the processor is not overwhelmed by the resolution. These are the things that count in my eyes.

Conclusion
=====
To me, that LG is the ideal successor G3 my Samsung Galaxy S2. The size is correct (must larger but no longer eventually be), the display is a delight and the processing leaves no wish unfulfilled. The circulating on the network error to spontaneous shutdowns, etc are not present with me. I had probably once had a bit of luck here.
Battery performance is really optimal for the size and functions of the software are impeccable. What I can complain about is the law currently unreliable Knock Code feature and the headphones that do not really fit perfectly to my ears and quite easily fall out. The facts that the accessory is not really to acquire for the G3 on the open market, is annoying, but that will change over time yet. High heat generation I can not find on my phone. In normal use, it is not even lukewarm. In recordings and installations of updates but this is something else, especially if you still doing recharges the battery, it can be quite warm in the area around the camera yet. But this is not a normal operating condition.

I would advise anyone who can cope with the size of the phone, recommend this great piece. It is the flagship of Samsung, HTC, Sony, etc. more than a match. Priced these devices are of course already a house number, but this is something that you have for all high-end devices to accept (except OnePlus One).
