The Direct Share Mode will probably be the most widely used because it is independent of location and is an exclusive connection between the camera and smartphone / tablet or PC.

This is what the Internet Mode. It will be activated in-camera by deleting the corresponding icon image on the Wi-Fi SD Card.
The card then automatically connects with one of the three configured hotspots.

The app on the smart or iPhone / Tablet works like the Direct Share Mode.
However, the device must be registered in the same WLAN / Hotspot.

A connection to my PC in the home network, I could not connect.
Android smartphone and tablet in the same network but are connected immediately with the card on the Trancend App.
In my wireless router, the card was visible with its MAC address, but it lacked an identifier and the IP address.
The Wi-Fi card and camera are in no logical connection.
The camera always recognize the card only as a SD memory card.
A status and function control of the camera is not possible.
Mode switch and possibly a reset always takes place via the temporary deletion of symbol images.
After turning the camera icon images are produced on the map again.
I have tested the map in different Trancend DSLR and compact cameras.
The EOS 5D Mark III it works after formatting and a firmware update to version 1.4 very well.
The use of a CF to SD Adapter DeLock in order for example to use in a EOS 7D, I can not recommend. In addition to the short distance I could see a strong heating of the map.
In compact cameras it generally works well. Here possibly affect a metal case and a card slot next to the battery, the transmission power.
The card also needs more energy than a standard SD card and can in some cameras cause a malfunction.

My advice:
If the camera does not recognize the card, neither the icon displays images still saves new images, they should be formatted in the camera.
The basic functions of the card and settings will not be affected.
The icon images are produced by turning on the camera again, but that may take some time, or make a repeated switch on and off.
New cards may not contain the most current firmware version.
