After having tested several other monitors in the meantime, I realized that none of the performance of the Asus ranreicht monitor. Prerequisite: The ASUS skirt Swift
fully functional and error-free. I have now again bought the skirt Swift, as it is a new Manufacturing Date (Feb 2015) are for the monitor. Unfortunately I had to in the second
Monitor notice that he has 5 pixel errors in the lower right corner and the illumination of the right and above all is down at the bottom left very weak. For a product for this price not
portable. This monitor also goes back as defective. I have the feeling of quality control at ASUS no one has heard anything. If the monitor would be error-free, he would from me immediately
Get 5 star. But as I have (unfortunately) in the worst rating of one star stay up to date. I admit ASUS another, third and last chance: Next week comes the third
Rock SWIFT. And if this is not correct, I will turn away from this monitor. Last chance, ASUS. Hold you up to date ...
Origialversion, March 30, 2015:
I bought this monitor because of various reviews, all of which are very positive. The main reason for buying was G-Sync. In the first three days of the monitor ran without problem. The monitor is truly revolutionary. WQHD resolution, 144 Hz, G-Sync, 27 inches. Taken the perfect gaming monitor Basically. Also, I was simply amazed at the first 2 days. Extem quickly, no input lag, G-Sync is a dream. The game is amazing feeling. What I've been looking forward. But this joy did not last long. And I come now to the point, to the begünden only awarded, a star:
It began with the sudden had a black screen, the monitor for long Elder Scrolls Online gaming sessions (and other games) and I several times a day was allowed to read the monitor: No signal. Then I replaced the cable supplied by various other high-quality and expensive (!) DisplayPort cable. I thought it is the cord. But this has not brought success. Then I have another GTX 980 card built into the computer. Result: Same problem. Monitor black again, no signal. Team Peach (TS) in the background still run, only the monitor had no image signal. Then I connected my old monitor (5 years old LED) via HDMI port. Result: Everything was great. Ergo: The monitor is the cause. In addition is the fact that I very often had no image at all. It was me getting the error message on the screen: "Out of range" message when I change the number of Hertz. Either through the Nvidia Control Panel or via the manual button on the monitor directly. Result: Nothing was more. Not restart. Solution: Old monitor with 60 hertz to the HDMI port the connected, therefore Windows 8.1 was again on the monitor "visible". Now I could see the Asus ROC Swift reconnect and the picture was again sichbar until such time until again came the next Black Screen.
Out of interest I've even looked at Asus in the forum if other people have selbige error. And I would soon formally fallen off my chair when I saw how many people have this error. Haarsträubend!
Moreover, it sometimes happens that the font in Windows anyway "washed and torn" look. I can not describe it, but there is probably also a technical term. Bluring or so. A restart (again to restart the entire Windows 8.1!) Fixes the. Again Frustration!
Also I have to mention that a few days later showed pixel errors. A constantly lit
Pixel. Something must not occur at a monitor in this price range also.
I have returned the monitor to Amazon as defective and return mail get my money back from Amazon. Great service, Amazon. Thanks for that.
Conclusion: Asus has managed with this monitor both a revolution and disaster simultaneously. At the very poor Asus Support I have not even approached me. Revolution so because if the part will be reasonable run times (maybe one year ...) to eradicating all the mistakes, the gaming experience is simply stunning. I have never, so gentle, so fluid played so fast and so great. As John Carmack said: Revolution in the games genre as the very first iPhone, which has held in the hand. Yeah, that's probably true. BUT: My personal opinion is that not yet is the technique currently mature and ASUS with Nvidia this technology immature and thrown in a beta status on the market as quickly as possible to this new G-Sync technology from the outset the market shares secure. This is thoroughly failed! G-Sync is the future, but not with this monitor, or at least not with this monitor in the current release. I'm going to buy the monitor determines a later date, but only in the new version 2.0.
SO NOT, Asus! Touching up.
PS: I operating the monitor by the way with a Asus GTX 980 and Strix with a ZOTAC GeForce GTX 980 AMP. So if not cooperate a monitor from Asus with a graphics card from Asus, Asus I do not want to hear, the graphics card would be to blame! Also these errors with the Zotac GTX 980 are encountered.
PPS: If you want to save a lot of stress, this version does not buy the monitor. Mine was released as of July / 2014th Ordered from Amazon in March / 2015th Ergo: Asus has long since rectified, apparently ignored all help calls the Asus ROC Swift Monitor Community. See Asus Forum! A disaster, especially if you with his group of players during the final boss-fight once again gets a black screen in "Elder Scrolls Online" .... I'm the one sad to play again with my old 60 Hertz monitor, but on the other hand, happy to finally be able to play without any problems again.
