we install 2 AA batteries (lithium preference for extra long life and maximum power) in the sensor, pressing the black button on the detector the same time that the "ON" button on the remote control (provided with batteries already inserted button) and it beeps: the infrared link is made between the two devices. (Manipulation to do at each battery change) then pressing ON with the remote control pointed towards the detector, the detector beeps and red light flashes once to warn us that it is in action. then has 30 seconds to leave the room. after 30 seconds, it starts monitoring (no red light, that's fine not to alert a burglar). I tested through two doors open, as soon as I moved more than 10 meters away, it beeps once and 4 seconds later he swung his siren reasoned throughout the house. good sound quality, sufficient to alert you if you sleep on the floor and the siren sounds on the ground floor or the basement. when you enter a room where there is service, so there are 4 seconds to press "OFF" on the alarm before the detector triggers the siren. for the price, excellent product, I took two !!
