Normally we would not have thought of a Samsung but with unserern experiences that we had made with our zuvorigen machines, we wanted to take another path.
And Samsung has (TV, cell phone, camera) never disappointed us.
In addition, the WF-8724 got one of the Stiftung Warentest in the life test "very good"!
Our first washing machine, Miele Toploader (then we were still in twos, threes or shortly thereafter) held about 10 years.
In this period had 3x the customer service come (for a Miele not exactly laudable)!
Then we had an AEG Lavamat, this ran without a problem 4 years and 3 months, then she had a bearing damage.
The next was another AEG Lavamat, these managed 3 years and 2 months, and then the engine was broken.
Our last machine was a Siemens, the absolute horror!
After 2.5 years she was an economic total loss, we received from our Plus Insurance (3 year extended warranty) 80% of the purchase price refunded.
In those 2.5 years of Bosch-Siemens Hausgeräte customer service was 4x in the house!
So we decided (in spite of all the test results); never again a Siemens (or Bosch, are indeed identical)!
So we came up with the Samsung.
On the website of Samsung, there is a Kaufberartung, click one more than 6 washes a week, then only 2 machines are left; the WF-8724 and WF-10724th
We decided primarily because of the price and secondarily because of the silver active function for the WF-8724th
Now for WF-8724th
The machine makes a very robust impression (Miele similar).
Workmanship and material impression are immaculate.
The operating area with 2 displays is "Mäusekino" at its best (I think that's great).
Nevertheless, not cluttered, you have all the information at a glance.
The larger than average Bullage is in the housing recessed (condition was my wife because of the optics ;-)) and can be opened easily.
The loading is thus really much better (our Siemens had also 7kg and the porthole was significantly smaller).
Washing works very simply, I find it very good that you can intervene directly in the program.
With extra keys for rinses, Temperature, Spin speed, intensive, pre-wash, silver active and options (soaking, easy iron), you can customize the program as you wish.
So far we are very satisfied with the washing results.
What I have noticed.
The special drum in the Samsung provides firstly for (diameter) that despite 1400 revolutions spin class A (typically B) is achieved.
By "Diamond" shape the laundry is really protected, even at 1400 revolutions, the laundry is not nearly as wrinkled as with our Siemens.
The laundry is almost always very loosened from the machine.
During spinning the Samsung stands like a rock (of course it is very important that it stands on a firm surface and was aligned with a spirit level).
I have a feeling that it generates less spin cycle.
Compared to our Siemens one can believe how quiet it eg spun at 1400 revolutions hardly.
If the machine is loaded, however, only small, it usually takes a little longer for the machine to its optimal start time for the spin (balance control) found.
What I find a little less good.
During normal washing the engine noise is a bit loud, or grumpy.
With 59dB which is not surprising (the quietest washing machines are currently at 51dB, our Siemens had 55db).
The volume is but in relation to the filling; more loaded = greater motor current = louder.
We have the machine are in our bathroom and the door closed is actually very little exercise - but it's definitely louder than the average.
The detergent drawer, and the chambers are a bit small.
The filling with powder detergent so requires a bit more fine motor skills.
Otherwise, we are very pleased with the Samsung.
Whether the brand change has paid off, will only become clear with time.
Anyway, we have again a 3 year extended warranty (on Amazon, or ERGO) completed ...
