Rock n Roll veteran looks back

Hindsight (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Born in Scotland, but Australia-based Jimmy Barnes is with us may not be a household name and his former band, which he left 30 years ago, Cold Chisel should already be forgotten, but the rock veteran can on 15 solo works, including ten Number 1 albums, three more in the top three and two shots in the so-called Aria Hall Of Fame look back. And with hindsight he does just that in a very special way.

The album includes namely 14 of his greatest hits and pearls that were re-recorded by fellow artists and bands. Instead of the first plan, namely self-re-record the songs and let friends sing about it, he invited to friends, got the free hand on the musical component, singing either alone or in duet about. He called and they came: THE LIVING END, THE BABY ANIMALS, Jon Stevens, Steven Van Zandt, Joe Bonamassa, Neal Schon, his brother Diesel and his daughter Mahalia and son Chambpell. The songs drown not just yourself fresher than ever, according to Jimmy and despite their sometimes more than 20 years on the hump, lost none of its magic. The rock'n'roll of Jimmy Barnes goes well forward, has heart and soul and makes with its timeless style still fun. The institution of the masterminds with its 58 Lenzen already fits perfectly with the genre and has also lost none of significance. It's also fun nachzuhören the originals again and compare. The material itself is varied, sometimes violent and more rock, sometimes calm and emotional and offers everything that makes the genre.

Who is the 80s and 90s on manicured Rock'n'Roll, the Jimmy Barnes should be a term anyway. Otherwise access because Hindsight is a really successful genre piece and a perfect introduction to the 30-year work of this bedrock.
