Moulin Rouge [VHS] (VHS Tape)

Customer Review

About the film Moulin Rouge divorced the ghost some find it too flashy, too cheesy, too flat, the other love him. I belong to letzteren- Moulin Rouge is one of my favorite movies.
Nevertheless, I can understand those who do not like the movie. Many go with misconceptions in this film, what actual obvious because a film like this has not been done before.
Moulin Rouge is classified in any genre, and so Baz Lurman was awarded for having created his film a new genre. And this he has created with absolute perfection.
The story, however, of an immortal, but tragic love is certainly not new, it's been there a hundred times and would in any other known form certainly floored. But if you such an extraordinary reaction as this brings about, can afford the old story a masterpiece and pioneer work, and eventually the old story is also so often told, because they are so beautiful is the people to heart. Moulin Rouge tells the love story set against a brightly colored, pompous backdrop, the characters and their motives are idealized and exaggerated, and the most poignant moments are not -and komischsten- vorgesprochen- they are sung. These features most likely to recall cartoons, and actually Moulin Rouge has the touch of a Disney fairy tale.
The first half hour is particularly flashy ausgefallen- the audience is fed ballert downright with pictures and text, which he does not have to be scared when you see the movie for the second time, one of the early already is much more palatable before, and also worth waiting for the following, contemplative part that tells a love story that is movingly beautiful easy. (I almost never cry at movies, I know what I'm talking about).
Also contributes to the brilliant cast both Kidman and McGregor are the roles of lovers on the body cut (Baz Lurman had the lovers already seen in the actors before he started work on the script), and their love for each other so convincing that 90% of all with whom I had seen Moulin Rouge, were convinced that it had in fact "sparked" between the two (which, however, was actually not the case). And the two prove to be true vocal wonder. Whether they are on the sense and nonsense of love (singing!) Duel or (singing!) Eternal love schwören- their voices are a feast for the ears, and really original, but still voted the most surprising interpretations of all pop songs exactly on the film.
The rest of the cast is very originell- dwarves, transvestites authors, sexy Absynthfeen (played by Kylie Minogue) and a ringmaster parative brothel father belong to the amazing cast.
Overall, a fireworks display and a masterpiece of a movie. Incidentally, the original (English) even better.
