The eternal struggle razor's Brown to Philips. These two giants are for decades belligerently against. I am so far clearly to the first fraction (hereditary), which also had a long time in the lead. But the battle lines seem to crumble. In my experience the proverbial brown quality has suffered, especially in the lower price segment.
Price - quality - performance
This shaver from Philips is priced in the middle and immediately convinced by its quality, functionality and uncompromising. Nameplate it was built in Holland - while he is not even orange.
Attributes and ratings at a glance
+ Attractive and unusual design
+ Is very good in the hand
+ For dry shaving very good result when the razor is moved in circles and with light pressure over the beard area.
+ Very quiet
+ Very informative display the battery charge status via 5 LEDs that provide information on activation and deactivation.
+ Very good battery: load quickly and lasts for more than 1 hour of continuous operation (ie sufficient use for about 2 weeks at "normal")
+ No irritation or irritations lockable
+ Easy to clean by rinsing under running water
o beard and Philips newbies a bit of practice for the proper handling of the three circular saws.
o The beard trimmer has to be plugged in addition for a long beards, but allows for a very good and even shave.
o The shaver can be loaded only in its separate base station that serves as a home port at the same time. There is indeed the device safely and firmly, but claimed some space in the bathroom.
- When traveling, next to the razor the complete charging station including beard trimmer must be taken (in a small bag attached).
- Plugging the shaving head works only in one position. The corresponding mark is not foolproof to recognize.
- Very poor manual, consisting entirely of images and refers to 11 razor types. Only if one of how to handle already knows, understands and one or the other image. However, it should be reversed.
- No indication of the video tutorials on the Philips website (eg for handling the beard trimmer, see link in the comment - the small films are in English with German subtitles).
Summary
The "SensoTouch" -Rasierer total convinced me. I would recommend it definitely because of the good shaving result! To top grade it was not quite enough (4.5 points), because there were still a few little things to improve. Made in Germany? No - but pretty close: Made in Holland.
