Will below my personal experience with the new Sennheiser RS 180 and RS 170 models deliver. Took me to watch television for my family with 2 kids new wireless headphones VA. Since I could choose one of the two models do not really know I have ordered both an RS170 and an RS180. The verdict is completely unique, in every respect, from free to Christopher Lambert Highlander: There can be only one, namely the RS 180! I have previously read all the reviews and can understand the very positive judgment on the part of the RS170 in any way. Both in music programs as well as more recent films with good soundtrack of RS 170 sounds to classes worse than the RS 180. Neither bass nor treble come clearly expressed, and the support means extra bass and surround effect will only lead to a distorted oversteer! By contrast, the RS180 scores with brilliant highs and super accentuated bass. In addition, the spatial sonority is so captivating that one can imagine being a part of the action. In addition to the vastly superior sonic purity occurs still a much greater comfort of the RS180 to days. Although the attached ear pads are compatible with each other so that one can of the RS180 on the RS170 and vice versa is clicked on, the velor upholstery of RS180 to classes more pleasant to the ear than the leatherette upholstery of RS170. With regard to the absolute noise-free transmission both headphones do by the way nothing. Neither the 170 nor the 180 rushes or whistles in the least, both have a perfect transmission, yet gentle enough a concrete wall to the transmission to cut. What is consistently well in both models, are completely impractical and hardly erfühlenden control keypads for volume, on / off switch or balance / Baßfunktion. If you want to change the volume on the headphones, I still, even after one week of use, remove the headphones and use the buttons below view. However, I can change in my television using the remote control, the volume signal to the headphone jack, so I simply alters the volume level in the headphones with my TV remote control. All in all you can really Sennheiser only Congratulations on your new wireless headphones, but only to a model: RS 180!
