I bought the hard drive for backup. Connect the went smoothly, Windows 7 recognizes the hard drive immediately. The backup also went a very rapid pace (a couple of 100GB), what surprised me most. One hears only a very slight humming, must also also for listen closely. For my needs, a strong buy recommendation!
