Sturdy, beautiful external metal housing with USB / SATA connector. Housing is compact, but apparently even stackable. Surprisingly quiet for a 3.5 drive internally is a Samsung panel (see previous recession) installed. Ships with SATA and USB cable. Drive was used straight away on the MAC. Compared to my previous drives, this is visually one of the highest quality and quiet. When turned on, the calibrated plate for a few seconds (a little loud and unusual noises), then this is almost silent. With me in the use as a backup disk.
