The burner works without complaint and reliable in my PC. The noise at very high speed is totally ok in comparison to my LG DVD burner. When playing a "normal" video DVD's to keep the noise within the normal range. I ordered this burner, although already a new generation of this burner was on the market, but much worse in the section reviews. I have not regretted my decision and am very happy with this unit.
