A lot of things in common with the other Samsung Xcover smartphone:
* The camera delivers good quality for snapshots. Otherwise, I use rather a proper digital camera.
* The display provides a good image having a good resolution for the size of the device.
* The integration of Google account is Android-typical well.
* The Swype keyboard is great fun to enter the text. Finally no more tedious typing.
* There are numerous ways of data transmission: 3G, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Direct, USB tethering.
* In addition, the device can be used as a Wi-Fi hotspot.
* If you connect the device via USB to a computer, you have access to the installed (up to 32 GB) microSD card (definitely works on Windows and Linux).
* There is a good pre-installed MP3 player.
Apart from that, the Xcover provides several special features:
+ You get a smart phone in a chic color and not in black unit.
+ The device is robust and waterproof.
+ It is not too small and not too big and is so good in the hand.
+ You get a built-in flashlight that is really bright.
+ Also included is an FM radio.
+ In addition to various Google apps are pre-installed and two outdoor Apps: Smart Runner Pro and apemap.
+ The device has a good battery life of about 2-3 days with normal use.
+ The price-performance ratio is very good.
Of course, one must not embezzle at this point some small minuses:
- The memory is relatively small with 316 MB. But if you can not run in parallel dozens of application, this is no problem.
- Also, the internal memory is quite small with 165 MB. But since most apps can be installed on the memory card, which is also not a problem.
All in all a very good smartphone for beginners, individuals, outdoor friends and all those who do not necessarily need a high-end smartphone.
