Disadvantages are actually that the wheel - but even more so the click - is audible. But to classify: It is no louder than typing on the keyboard. I do not mind.
The packaging is very troublesome and difficult to open. When designing the packaging you were probably anxious to optimize it for transport / logistics rather than for the "convenience" of the customer.
Also included was an installation CD and the 2-year warranty.
