This lens is my dream lens for portraits. It achieved a unique focus, the autofocus is the fastest in Canon system and the precision tip (attention large oven hood - point and shoot the same!). In Aperture 1.8, the sharpness is good, at 2.0 it is bombastic already very well and at 2.8 !. With Aperture 1.8 and 2.0 lateral aberrations are recognizable, so purple lines before and after the green lines Fokusierebene, which can be simple but in Lightroom fix, or do not mind this tocuh. At the price definitely a recommendation - is part of the power in the L Rige. The 85mm 1.2 L I would leave in the face of this lens left and invest the saved money sensibly.
