But now the new:
+ Optical excellent without any discernible objective errors
+ Length rather flat, but absolutely constant
+ AF, at least on my Olympus faster
+ Limiting the focus range overlaps sense, that one is not as fast in the wrong distance range go
+ 1: 1 setting very helpful to find at close range without long Rumzogen quickly focus
+ Weatherproof and easy
o The switch for the focus area is used to, here a slide would have liked better
- As always with Olympus and unlike its competitors no lens hood is supplied. I have thoroughly considered whether I should rate this continued insolence with a star deduction, but then left it because of hervorrragenden overall performance.
One last comment on initial opening, which would have seen one or the other might like more: The initial aperture is selected with 2.8 in my opinion, useful for a macro. Larger opening requires significantly larger lenses see eg the Oly 75er to comparison chart! - Which would have made the so very handy lens considerably harder without them would therefore fulfill its primary purpose better because the macro you have already significantly dimmed.
A remark for Panasonic photographers: The lens has no built-in stabilization. In the macro range of these benefits anyway less, but similar for Portrait is of course a disadvantage.
