the Yoga2 11 was supposed to replace my HP Pavilion 11 x2. So completely did not stem the but. First and foremost because of the uncomfortable Tablet mode and the short battery life.
UPDATE: My copy had technical problems, which is why I have returned it. Together with the Contras, the device just was not what I had hoped for.
Conclusion:
Those looking for a perennial tablet with good hardware keyboard, which runs long away from an electrical outlet, should buy another product. As a Tablet me at all convinced that Yoga2 11 in hand. It must be hard and its housing design it feels edgy and strange. Also, turn in tablet mode, the display when you hold it with one hand. Thus, there is interference and wave pattern in the image. Folded as laptop it feels great in your hand to the other hand.
The slow hard disk brakes the device very. A mSATA- or NGFF SSD would the system performance a great service and make room for a larger battery. People who already have a device with SSD and similar processor or had (eg the HP Pavilion 11x 2), will be disappointed by the overall performance.
Those looking for a device which all disciplines (somehow) dominated, getting an elegant 2in1 at an affordable price. However, "wants" the Yoga2 11 be more of a laptop with two presentation modes, for a tablet. So you have to make compromises. Tablet lovers should better a Detachable model because a "flip" -Convertible envisage.
Overall I would give the device only 3 out of 5 stars. 4 stars would have been there if it were done without hardware problems.
Pros:
+ Lovely bright (more than 300 cd / m²) and contrast display (800: 1)
+ IPS panel
+ Good processor for everyday tasks
+ Good workmanship
+ Chic design
+ Thanks to 360 ° hinge very flexible
+ Fans and almost completely silent
Neutrons:
* For a laptop very light (just 1303g), in tablet mode bit hard
* Feels like a tablet subjectively like a foreign body in
* Resolution for 11.6 "display sufficient
Preinstalled * Much bloatware, but also some useful programs
* Good keyboard layout, albeit at small keys with too short stroke
* No keyboard backlight
* Integrated graphics processor with low power, for YouTube and 2D games but OK
* Sporadic problems with keyboard and touch screen when you switch from notebook to tablet mode and when waking from sleep (possibly single problem with my copy)
Cons:
- Strange "SFF-8784" hard drive connector (also called Edge Connector)
it follows: it is not possible to retrofit a commercial SSD or another hard drive!
- Slow 2.5 "hard drive in 5mm height which slows the whole system, thereby delaying the startup of the computer and launch apps!
- Battery life for a laptop OK, but too short for a Tablet! In my tests, it was max. 5:30 5:45 hours.
I have one more detailed version of my review. If you want to read this, but please leave me a comment.
