I did not believe it, but it is unfortunately true.
However, the holder is utter crap and has unfortunately made me some scratches to the new bike. The metal part is supported on the frame. Even with the rubber band holding the holder not properly on the frame. The plastic of the bracket is inferior and canted the screw that allows you to attach the plastic to the metal. Apart from that, if the holder is then dochmal it, it is a struggle to get the castle back out.
I've now fixed the lock with NEM strap on the luggage rack. Keeps bombproof and can also be easily removed again.
