Addendum: The company CLS has now assured me that the cables are shatter-proof - I have not tried it yet. I own three cables of the sort, but with all the screwed plug cases solve again and again, that sucks.
The main problem I see in the design, (a little different from HDMI) draws the thick cables through the high weight and the construction-related short plug design a relatively large weight on the connection to the jack at right angles with appropriate leverage down (the Cables come with me from gesäbelten devices out). Since manufacturers now obstruct the equipment no longer very massive jacks that's just a matter of time when the socket on the unit breaks out - that's it then.
The gold-plated connectors are complete nonsense and counterproductive in optical data conductors. I use some couplings around the cables to extend or re stuck there can give Störgeräuche the reflective connectors, not for nothing that all sockets are internally matte black.
Why because as a battle of material is necessary because the shield does not play a role in this form of communication, I do not, and such a "design" behind the devices are just gathering dust white.
More than junk status, the cable, because they basically work, but I would not buy me for my tick.
