I own the PureView now for about 2 weeks and have to say that it keeps fully everything it promises! I had in front of the N8 and agree to the change in the 808 more than satisfied. Had the N8 still a few weaknesses in the performance, these are now ironed out completely. Unfortunately, there are also a few negative points that brings the update primarily on Belle FP2 with it. But now, in order:

Camera:
For this you have to I do not say much more, which have already done some before with. I can only add the camera is terrific, the quality of images unique to a smart phone and also against various digital cameras, the 808 does not have to hide. It's just a dream to finally times zoom without loss of quality and with the excellent xenon flash are also images in the dark is no problem. Until now, anyone who has seen a photo in full resolution and has once zoomed in, impressed by the richness. The display has a comparatively relatively low resolution of "only" 360x640 pixels, but in my opinion neither notice nor interfere. When you look closely, you can already see one or two pixels, but who goes in search of pixels which has really no other hobbies. The missing pixels are read more than compensated. Even in direct sunlight the display is no problem by a madness-contrast and rich colors. The touch screen responds instantly and precisely to inputs, which indeed just about any recent smartphone models have in common.

Housing and Design:
The case is, however, very well made of plastic. For matting comes a slightly roughened surface, whereby the mobile phone is very high, if you hold it in your hands. Also, the high weight by the camera lens contributes to this. Surprisingly, but the unit is very well balanced in terms of the weight distribution. The large bulge due to the camera I do not find disturbing, on the contrary, I think it's even better grip, unlike many other "slick" smartphones. Nokia Maps:
I downloaded the first thing all cards. Navigating working properly, better even than the N8. I do not know why some people write here about Google Maps that are made redundant by Nokia Maps. The maps are very detailed, there is a Fahrenheit and a Go function can be found anywhere, you really need not more, and this is all entirely free of charge and without an internet connection!

Media:
The video and photo galleries can be operated superfluid, are clear and beautiful to look at. Unfortunately, some functions from the Gallery section has been removed with the update to FP2, which is completely incomprehensible to me. On the N8 could by prolonged tapping an image in the gallery nor a diverse context menu incl. Send, Edit, Delete, Details, etc. call, so was the "Add Keyword" in FP2 on a simple reduced. For the integrated amplifier is more powerful than all the other smartphones (at least that I've compared it, iPhone 4, Galaxy S3, HTC One S, etc.). Connectivity:
Here we have a huge advantage of the 808, since it really only can keep its predecessor N8. There are in addition to the connectivity to the internet and mobile phone network HDMI, DLNA, NFC, USB, Bluetooth and an FM transmitter that enables wireless transmission of songs via radio waves to a receiver. Furthermore, the 808 is able to USB2go, meaning you can connect any USB hard drive or a USB flash drive and read the data as on the internal drive. For me very convenient as I often have to serve up some data on my USB stick. Only LTE is not integrated, which I personally do not pay too much for it lay because 1. LTE again caused additional costs offered, 2. the LTE network is not yet really developed well and 3. the mobile Internet at the highest possible HSDPA bandwidth is more than fast enough. Of course, LTE would have the whole package still rounded.

Battery:
The battery life is excellent, depending on the intensity of use he holds 2-4 days, a value that I think hardly reached another smartphone. In addition, the battery is replaceable, which also no longer be taken for granted today.

Operating System:
On a mobile phone running Nokia Belle FP2, which was very similar to Android, is only a little tidier. The home screens are freely assignable with widgets and shortcuts, a top-down bar provides quick access to key features and there are the usual app menu, which is here free scrollbar. The OS was already running well on the N8, but in the 808 you can clearly see the double fast processor and the memory also doubled. Programs load in seconds, menus and scrolling galleries superfluid and almost all other functions are carried out very quickly. The only downside here is the relatively long time required for installation of programs. But this is contrary to the N8 already significantly shortened. Had Nokia this device promoted more and would continue to rely on Nokia Belle or its advancements and of course emphasize its strengths and continue to improve, so the 808 PureView would become a blockbuster with security.
