I've been looking for the possibility of an interface to connect IDE drives as an external hard drive to my system temporarily can. This makes the docking station without any problems. So it is possible, without internal connection to connect the plates quickly via USB to the system.

The USB 3.0 interface further provides for fast data transfer.

Advantage of this dock is that you can connect for example an optical drive (DVD drive) on a netbook in order to perform installations without internal drive can.

With me all hard disks and drives have been detected so far without any problems.

I am very happy with the product.
