My starting point is the following:
I shoot with the Sony A7 to 99% in JPEG mode and if possible so that I do not have to edit a lot in hindsight (only cut, white balance, sharpness, contrast). I was so far from the results of the A7 sensor very impressed (I changed from a Nikon D7000; there I had to lend a hand at each image).
I used the LA-EA4 adapter with a Minolta 70-210 f3.5-4.5 before Sony FE70200G and was very pleased with the results. Now I wanted to get away from the adapter solution to rely on native lenses and so play this "small" system the advantage.
Folendes I noticed subjectively:
- Sharpness at 70mm is much better than the Sony Zeiss FE24-70 F4
- Stopping down to f5.6 or f8 improves sharpness throughout the entire zoom range
- Around 100 mm is at very high levels
- Wonderful contrast and great color (-> finish processing almost entirely for me)
- Very nice bokeh, thus good free storage facilities for Portraits
- Weight is acceptable (I use the lens exclusively free hand and without tripod mount)
- Image Stabilizer works excellently with freehand shots and told me to shoot with a shutter speed of 1 / 80s at 200mm focal length helped (Note: at the Sony A7 Mark 1)
- Processing is at a very high Niveu. The lens feels lighter than it looks
- Practical switch on the lens for focus settings (in professional telephoto lenses but standard)
- Obektiv harmonizes very well with in-camera image processing -> Best JPEG Results
- The white color looks classy, but can fizzle discrete operation of the A7
- Lens is splashproof. A rainstorm, my objective unimpressed left (there are now however reasoned concern that the A7 is actually spritzwassergechützt -> so better not to try, if it did not have to be)
- Sun hood can look really bulky lens on the A7, so I'll leave it often away
-> Use the recommended UV protection from B + W

-> Tip: are with the close-up lens of Canon excellent macro similar shots are the way possible; the autofocus is very usable. At 200mm you so about a magnification of 1: 2.5

Conclusion: 1400 is a big difference compared to my adapter solution with a total cost of 350. But I wars the value in order to not give up the image stabilizer and have to achieve an improved sharpness.
