Sherlock Holmes at the bedside

Purchase Intention:
I'm a fan of the series and had almost all follow the TV seen. But to see everything I had to, of course, the DVD's set.

Basic constellation:
Everybody lies. This is the belief that Dr. Gregory House represents. He is a renowned diagnostician at Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. He gets the cases in which others do not know how to go and solve the cases without contact with the patents to have, because this would change his perception. is the best friend of Dr. House and its exact opposite. He is level-headed, calm and responded to his patients. Often conversations with him to solve the case

- Lisa Cuddy
is the director of the hospital and the only one who is willing to hire him and House can do what he wants. Furthermore, Cuddy and House combines a love-hate relationship which often brings the atmosphere in the hospital for cooking.

Starring:
Hugh Laurie / Dr. Gregory House (also known from 101 Dalmatians, Stuart Little, The Flight of the Phoenix)
is an English actor who immortalized themselves with this role. Much of the success of the series based on his acting talent. A few actors manage such a character at once hateful and adorable display

Omar Epps / Dr. Eric Foreman (also known from the Major League II, Shaft - Any questions?)
plays the specialist well and make it that one also likes his role, though his intentions are not usually lovable.

Robert Sean Leonard / Dr. James Wilson (also known from Dead Poets Society)
plays the best friend well but it falls theatrically from something, but whatever it is that his character is created quite boring.

Lisa Edelstein / Dr. Lisa Cuddywar
in the 80 / 90s that what Paris Hilton is today, a party mouse without proper goals in life (called Lisa E.). All the more amazing here she plays a very good and credible role.

Image and sound:
on the picture and sound are nothing really to complain about. However, the DVDs and Blurays correspond to the prior art are the Blurays clearly preferable to DVDs here.

Definitely. The series is not dusty

Interesting:
- The series is designed as Sherlock Holmes in the hospital. To this end, many parallels have been entered (drug addiction, arrogance, high intelligence, analysis only with eye contact, play music to relax, house number 221B).
- Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes based on his doctor friend Dr. James Bell, a diagnostician.
- Dr. James Wilson corresponds to Dr. John Watson and Holmes House which is also reflected on the similar names.
- Hugh Laurie never won an Emmy Award for this role!
- The actual theme tune is Teardrop by Massive Attack. For this, however, there were no rights in Germany and therefore has its own theme song for large parts of the European market composed.
- Due to the series a man in Marburg was saved because the doctor came to the resolution of the case because of a series (A cobalt poisoning due to a defective implant)
- In many cases, lupus and sarcoidosis is suspected, which is, established especially in lupus, as Running Gag
- Kal Penn (Dr. Lawrence Kutner) stepped out of the series from because he was a consultant for Obama
- David Shore, the creators of House, did not know that Hugh Laurie is British because it was so perfect the Americans at the casting.
- Jesse Spencer and Jennifer Morrison were in real life, a couple and even engaged.
- HOUSE stands in American hospitals for History of Use, which drug addicts are meant
- Laurie thought at the beginning that Wilson is the main character, because the character of House is not popular.

In short:
This series is, no kidding, super good.
