Have in September 2014 my kitchen lamp a 6-pack bought in the 6 watt version and had nice bright light, but fell in November the first lamp, because I just 4 stk. Need it was exchanged and well. Until December the second failed, exchanged again, OK can sometimes occur. In January went Nr. 3 + 4 broken and now early February lights still one of the six lamps. Luckily I had 3 older LED lamps which I had been 3 years in operation and could use this as a replacement.
The LEDs of these lamps are operated because of the light output over 60mA rated current and therefore can not last! Whether that was a manufacturing error in the assembly or is intentional, I can not and will not say, but this much is certain with a slightly larger dimensioned series resistor they might hold about 50 000 hours, as in minimally less luminous flux (= Lumen) That's my personal opinion!
