Lightweight, responsive, content format, the 10-18 pound plus own images and really stung for a wide angle. Of course, the max aperture is 4.5, so do not expect to be able to play all the way to the depth of field, but in terms of optical quality, the lens really defended well (after of course, there are chromatic aberrations and full aperture dive down but this type of goal oriented rather fun picture story or nothing insurmountable).
The main criticism made him the Internet is its plastic bayonet. In use: unless wearing his camera through the lens and use it to drive nails, the bayonet is perfectly resistant, it is more than enough to support the light weight of this objective and there is no game with the housing. Moreover, for having tried on a 550D and a 70D lens adapts the hassle and gives great results both in pictures that video. (Note the MAP with the STM lens and 70D is stirring. In video with face tracking enabled, the focus pint is made immediately and silently!).
Not super bright, often as large angles, the 10-18 has stabilized saves some stops and overall it is doing quite well and you can even take photos in hand within evening lifted provided the topics are relatively static.
Only less positively, once again do not book canon lens hood with its objective. Personally I do not care because I like the lense flare-but still it's a little stingy on the part of cannon. But it seems that this is a habit with them on this type of cheap goals.
So to conclude: a fun goal of good quality for a reasonable price that allows to make fun pictures without falling in the photo fisheye that tired faster.
