The tripods are equipped with internal shock absorbers spring. Collapsed tripod segments while solving the fuses by the force of the tensioned springs up fast, which is a certain risk of injury. A warning message is delivered to the package.
The attachment point of tripods not supplied is in contrast to normal Walimex WT-806 lamp tripods of an inch spigot 1/4-inch screw thread, but in each case a slightly stronger threaded rod, which is used to attach the 3-fold background system. Other accessories may not necessarily be properly fixed therefore on these tripods. However, can be attached instead of the full 3-fold background system with three cross bars without problems only a single crossbar.
The three cross bars are plugged together from two to four parts. The connector is locked or released by mutual rotation of the parts. The twisting of the parts can also be easily done unintentionally, which is particularly unpleasant when the twisted parts are hidden inside of the background material circumstances. If necessary, the junction can be secured with tape against undesired twisting.
Each When all four parts are plugged together, the crossbars are each about 2.98 meters long. By way of securing the 3-fold background system go at each end about 6 cm usable length is lost, so that the background material remains a usable length of the crossbars of approximately 2.86 m. Typical background materials with a true width of 2.85 meters (the exact width of background materials can be quite different from that indicated in the product descriptions) may thus be used without any problems; wider substances (many commercial background materials are for example about 3.00 m wide) must be pushed together at the edges according to wrinkles, so that they fit on a crossbar.
Usually, it makes sense, the background fabric with two suitable clamps (z. B. Walimex at the crossbar to secure studio clips against slipping and tension.
If not all three, but only one or two crossbars to be hung with background material, it is advantageous when the loaded crossbars placed on the carriers that the 3-fold background system halfway remains in balance.
The 3-fold background system is designed with its three separate crossbars according to the manufacturer actually for convenient and quick change of the background, which is not so easy in practice because a suspended background fabric not rolled onto the rigidly to the background system fortified crossbar readily can be. However, an interesting application arises from the fact that the 3-fold background system at the same time two or three backgrounds can also be successively suspended. In this way you can for example make very light background materials opaque.
