Connected Live (ethernet) on a Livebox 2, this drive WD My Cloud is part of a network of Macs, iDevices and to a PC.

Installation is very simple, just download the software that interfaces to configure user accounts NAS drive. On Macs, the hard drive "up" without problems and appears in "Network" with users records that have been created and a folder "TimeMachineBackup" if this option is enabled on the interface.

The iOS app also works well and can see the disk files to load on the iPad for example.

To try the backup, I tried to activate the TimeMachine backup from a Mac to the NAS WD drive and then wham. The computer speeds to disk are slow since I able to max 5 MB / s or 20 seconds for a 100 MB file In addition, while the data go up to the NAS via the Box, flow thereof is reduced which prevents downloading while the NAS works.

Finally, I use this hard drive to upload files that can be viewed from any network machine. Note that iTunes can play music files stored on the disk that can be used but without that being either very fast ....
