- Various AKG the high-priced class: Cleared and sold again.
- Sennheiser Urbanite XL: Very comfortable for long sessions on the notebook but something flat and soft in tone.
- Focal Spirit One S: incomparably good at my FiiO X1
Now for the "devil Massive": For not by 100 EUR a real bargain compared to the other two.
- Processing and quality are 1A: aluminum joints, Textilumanteltes bayonet cable
- "Massive" is program here. Metal, no plastic. Extremely sturdy cable.
- Very comfortable for large ears. Large cushions, soft strap, well adjusted.
Both the FiiO X1 and the notebook he convinced consistently. Not quite as high resolution as the Focal Spirit One S, but with an exact, correct fat sound. 70s Disco, Funk and 80s Rock are a delight. Phil Collins' "In The Air Tonight" is the benchmark. Here but not washed or intrusive, but at all bass very detailed and precise. Small inconsistencies one can easily ironed out by Equalizer.
For the price, some considerably more expensive competitors can learn a lot. For lovers of fat sounds a real recommendation. The devil Massive now has a permanent place in my backpack. The Sennheiser urbanité XL will probably have to look for a new home.
