Scope of supply:
The bag was folded in the inner padding. It contains just the bag, which can also be used well otherwise, the cushion compartment and two dividers with Velcro strips to divide the cushioning compartment in three bays.
Upholstery specialist:
The inner part is a simple cuboid tray. The surface looks like Kunstamt. Not very fancy but functional. the tray and the separation pad work no better or worse than many other bags or backpacks.
Are you a camera with the lens ahead in one, separated by a divider range, the lens for my taste too much play. with two shorter dividers that I had left of another bag I have limited space for the lens from the bottom and so the same yet to win a low compartment for camera strap and other accessories.
The subject has not fix on its outside. It is simply placed in the pocket. So far I had no problems with slipping though the cushion compartment in the bag has plenty of space. fit well a tablet, an Ultrabook or other things between pad and bag specialist. These are then but practically not protected and should come with its own cushion.
In the upholstery trade my 5DIII along (with Carry Speed-bottom plate and hot shoe spirit level) and the cross-700D fits. then, however, no further lenses.
Case:
The bag is made from a sturdy canvas-like fabric. The seams look tidy. The closures are partially placed on artificial leather. Since the leather part of the push buttons on the pocket forms a respective loop can it safely be appended also something not too heavy.
The strap is pleasantly wide and stable, but has no additional padding for the shoulder.
The bag has on the narrow sides a no pocket with flap and press stud. Well suited for battery or filter.
At the front there is a large flat zip pocket. A few sewn bays would have been nice, but there is not.
Above the zipper front pocket and the main compartment is a flap with adjustable snaps. Among them is possibly a sleek stand space. The flap is not as wide as the zipper of the main compartment is long (long finger alarm with open zipper).
The main compartment is easily accessible despite zipper. Positioned to a larger camera at the edge of the bag you still need to be fooled two hands to the zipper in the area stopped.
in the back of the main compartment, a smaller flat pocket is sewn with its own zipper. For me, a ColorChecker is it.
Protection:
The equipment in the cushion compartment is mechanically as well protected as in every other case also. Tossing I would my equipment is not, a few shocks but loose cushion.
The substance is not a high-tech material. So with rain cover, it should not be far away. A few drops are probably not a problem but real rain would be fatal. A larger plastic bag I have for emergencies always there (with hole for the lens and the hair tie that can also be in the rain to photograph it - then the case must, however, be subject to somewhere else).
The bag looks definitely not like a camera bag. That was an important argument for me. Professional thieves let that but certainly not fooled. Especially when the carrier either running around with a camera in hand or put in the pocket.
The strap does not act as he would be hurt or cut easily. In the throng or in critical areas still calls for increased vigilance.
Conclusion:
Exactly what I was looking for. Unobtrusive, not huge but still wide enough for the big camera with belt / tripod plate and with enough additional pockets for accessories. From the viewpoints above a clear recommendation from me.
