For a budgie pair the literature recommends a cage width of at least 100cm. In this respect, the cage is perfectly .... And most plastic cages are commercially probably much too small, when the birds are not allowed to fly around freely every day.
Except for the damage (maybe I was just unlucky) had the materials solid and sympathetic - and higher quality than standard cages in which the floor is a thin plastic tub. I now had this cage constructed in spite of his damage once a trial basis. On the floor he was on form and dimension as a rabbit cage. On a table that may appear different, but would have to be correspondingly large. I have now decided for the Memphis II of Wagner. He's not quite as wide and looks more like birdcage. The Birdies he likes. A matter of taste!
