Unlike the partly exaggerated smoky whiskeys of Islay, where the peat smoke superimposed almost all other flavors and one rather has the taste of a cigarette as a whiskeys such as the 10-year-old Laphroaig in my opinion, is in this single malt, despite the relatively intense Torfrauchs, the basic character of Irish whiskeys in all its facets at every stage of enjoyment felt. Despite vordergründigem Torfaroma this whiskey is typically Irish mild and fruity sweet. Of the various whisk (e) ys that I've tasted, my absolute favorite.
