Even if I had to fight a little with your fingers at the beginning, you get used to it quickly to the tiny. Since 6 rather than 4 strings are present, but the neck is only about one centimeter wider than a standard ukulele it is just a little closer on the fingerboard. But as I said, you get used to it.
The A-mood in my opinion is not a problem and results from a yes (standard) Ukulele. This thus also results in the ukulele sound, but with two bass strings more ... like a guitar halt. Super!
On the Gitalele ordinary classical strings (4/4) are drawn.
Of course, the already reared strings are still new and not particularly high (as well as for the price). But to start the rich first. Of course there must be first stretched abundant, but that's normal.
When changing strings, I would treat directly the fretboard with lemon oil (For example, "Dunlop Ultimate Lemon Oil Fingerboard"), because it is very dry in the delivery condition.
My copy is (almost) purely bund, which is not always to be the case (as I have read). So rather timely check upon delivery and exchange a pinch! A perfect collar pure guitar can be found in this price range but actually not ... because you have to invest even more.
The mechanism is surprisingly high quality for the price. The total free processing is (in my copy) well and the instrument makes a stable impression. More than I expected for the price.
The sound is very good for such a small instrument. The bass is naturally not as strong, but the body is indeed very small. Nevertheless, it has a balanced sound!
The low price for the well is still a pocket here, nor is an extra plus point. Exemplary!
It has one but also be clear that it is not here to Ortega model, which costs more than 4 times.
The price / performance is, however, provided you get an error-free copy, simply unbeatable.
Overall, I must say that I in no way regret buying the guitar and ukulele ... no ... no Gitalele would buy again and continue to recommend. You just fun and not too tight.
However, if some higher quality searches, should be a closer look at the Ortega RGL18FMH (without pickup) or RGLE18FMH (Pickup).

A few words about the mood:
The normal guitar tuning (EADGBE) I have not tested, but should be possible.
When tuning the strings in the normal 4/4 Gitalele on E down, the strings are however so loosely that it no longer sounds good. Enough tension on the strings for the e-mood is present, you have to raise other strings.
The scale of Gitalele is 43.3 cm, so you can 1/8 children guitar strings use the Gitalele to vote on e. Thus, the E and A-moods on one and the same strings are not possible.
When one gambles on its own, the atmosphere plays not really matter, unless you're singing along. For some, the A-like atmosphere then fold well, for others maybe not. The handles on the guitar and the Gitalele are the same, however, is in the A-mood naturally to other chords (like a guitar capo in the 5th fret). If one takes for example a G chord that is of course a C.
So if you want to make music with others, or at least re-enact "faithfully" the songs, you should either mount the 1/8 children guitar strings or to deal with the chords on the Gitalele. In a pinch, you can find even fingering charts for Guitalele (which, of course, with ukulele chords are the same, except for the additional two bass-pages) ... to just check out the Google Image Search "guitalele chords" Enter.
The 1/8 strings but apparently not sold anywhere. The "Hannabach 890 children guitar strings 1/8" (Mensur 44-48 cm) had to order from Amazon recently and are currently unavailable. In other major music stores I'm not so far been able to find. Whether you hinbekommt a stable atmosphere with 1/4 strings, I do not know. In a pinch, you may have to 1/4 strings with a "Hard Tension" test, however, the scale would not quite fit ... or you stop nevertheless deals with the chords on the Gitalele ;-)
