Caution: In the product description here at Amazon that is said by a lens cap. This is wrong. The camera has no lens cap as in the XZ1 / 2 but a normal automatic lens aperture.
- Really great, I find the light take lens. Especially with not so optimal brightness can still be saved a lot, there's a little more buffer for a blur-free recording is left just in time settings.
- Like the XZ1 / 2 the XZ10 has a high-quality image sensor, a high-resolution monitor and a wide variety of effects and settings that can hardly be desired.
- The only drawback compared to the XZ2 is the lack of flash shoe and the focus on large wheel on the optics, but you really get a very small camera.
- The picture quality is taken into account you have to work with what miniature art here, really surprisingly good. I have made a series of comparative photos (XZ1 / 2/10) and found that apart from a slightly different automatic white balance the images are almost identical, indicating a very high quality. Here you have to mention, that can be the white balance changes to the smallest detail and adjusted according to your preferences. So if you prefer a more reddish or bluish tinge, no problem.
- Sure now some will complain about the small sensor and the high number of pixels. The colors are a bit washed out at 300% magnification, have a noise component and details are ironed out. For a great A4 photo or the photo book the pictures are very well suited. Who does have a photo of a wall covering, where you would see this error be?
- A hot shoe, there is, as already mentioned above, not, control other supported flash units is possible.
- The housing is very high, because crunches and creaks nothing.
- Within a second the camera is ready for use.
- The flash pops up depending on the recording mode itself and on again. This can partly take care of surprises. Especially if you hold the camera with the typical thumb-index finger grip. The left hand should support the camera more below. Especially when iAuto mode, the flash pops up basically. In P, A, S and M mode, you can turn off the (thankfully). Since I am a P-mode users, so I see no problem. For people who are frightened before this arbitrary Popping the flash, I recommend the slim volume from the delivery to attach to the camera. Secured to the wrist, they will not fall down.
- The video mode offers impressive quality. Simply press the Video button and off you go. As the focus or exposure is set, the camera will decide then unfortunately itself and without adjustment. Too bad, why not here at least the settings are taken from the Photo-program mode. One should mention the slow motion 120 frames that are 720 pixels possible at a resolution of 1280 x. This feature is ideal for experimentation. How looks the flutter of a butterfly or really like the egg falls into the pan? Another still slower way with 240 frames, and a resolution of 432 x 324 are available. The quality, however, is no longer so good.
- The menu is clear and leaves for the photographer hardly adjustment open. All areas are explained with information texts.
- Of course panoramic scene, program choices for a variety of situations (Night, Portrait, Snow, etc.) and excellent type effects, the images in different styles allow (pinhole camera, pop art, paintings, etc.).
- You can set up a frequently accessed adjustment as a shortcut with the Fn key. Here I set the macro mode. Macro shooting succeed the way from a distance of approximately 10 mm.
- The appearance reflects well and vignetting I could not tell. Lines are curved at the wide angle at the edges a bit, but difficult to spot.
- The battery lasts for many shots and I could a working time of about 70 minutes in my tests reach (without flash use). He is charged with the aid of a USB connector (power supply included) in the camera. The normal USB input of a computer is sufficient but for the charging process also. An external battery charger with the battery out of the camera can be charged is not included. A fully charged spare battery so you should always take with you.
- Photos and videos (not included) are played on TV for slideshow with a HDMI cable.
Conclusion:
With like the camera and I can recommend them to anyone who wants a small, fast, high-quality, nice camera with good image quality. For the uninitiated, it offers in iAuto mode good results and for the ambitious photographer thanks to the RAW mode many subsequent image processing options.
