I bought my HDD to additionally secure my important data (photos, etc.) from my NAS drive externally. After unpacking the that Seagate was connected directly to the NAS (USB 3.0) and mounted. She was immediately recognized error-free and integrated into the file system. After create the backup job, the initial brief 100GB were rapidly backed up to the plate (have not got speed data to it, but it is definitely much faster than the copy on the 1Gb network). The drive connected to the computer (unfortunately only USB 2.0), also performed without complaint and without errors in service, according to the preset speed.
In operation the NAS, the board is not even lukewarm. Audible it is not at all (but also to say that I always have a slight noise level by 2 always active NAS drives have in the study). Is it connected to the USB, you get the really with only by the status LED.
According to previous usage and performance, I am fully satisfied and I can only give 5 stars.
