The walimex pro Fish-Eye is surprisingly small, light and compact. It comes with both caps and a carrying bag. The manual focus turns soft but a bit too heavy for my taste. The shortest focus distance is 30cm. The aperture ring snaps on half stops and has just the right rotational resistance. At aperture 8, the lens is sharp to the corners. For further open aperture the sharpness can be affected in the corners a little. The viewing angle is 180 degrees, which one it will immediately notice that you have to be careful not to have your own two feet in the picture. The fingers fall very quickly into the field. Unless you can recommend this lens around and given the low price. For Sony NEX 5N this judgment remains valid. Here I would give five stars.
However, if a Sony NEX 7 has, will have to live with Fisheye when using this Walimex that the corners sometimes look slightly violet. This is a problem of the NEX 7 sensor so not appreciate flat incident light rays. In contrast, although there is software like the program "CornerFix", but the workload remains in post. In a way, the flat angle of incidence of light is also a design problem of this lens, which is why I would give it only 3 stars for the NEX 7. Therefore, bottom line, I forgive 4 stars.
