After only two months of use, the DDG-BOX has become unusable. It is a construction defect. That playing the didgeridoo produces a lot of saliva. But there is no way to bring out the sputum is produced while playing. Even after allowing a few days without playing (I have a second didgeridoo), the box remains wet inside.
The problem is that this is an instrument made of pieces of wood glued together. So with all this moisture, the wood is cracked, adhesive joints are dropped. Just a small air leak to make the instrument unusable.
Finally, I am very disappointed with this product, which is too fragile to resist.
This is unfortunate, because convenience is undeniable. And before that cracks have emerged, the sound was not all bad. It was certainly a good introduction to didgeridoo playing, but too expensive to advise other.
It is possible that a player more confirmed than me does not produce the same amount of saliva that I, and therefore do not have this problem.
Here are my initial comment:
I appreciate for its small size it is really no bigger than a large book, and very light, so easy to handle. Take It! Another significant point there is no need for mouth required (at least for the next game).
Once breathing circulation acquired (for me, I understood in three days), it is easy to play, facilitated by good pressure (backpressure). The game didgeridoo is fast becoming as much a pleasure for the sake of producing music for the benefits of deep breathing (there are studies that suggest that the didgeridoo playing can help reduce snoring and sleep apnea The reason why I bought it for that matter).
I would have preferred, however, a different key. The DDG-BOX is in C, which is quite serious. I feel that Mi, he would have been more musical. But, again, I am only a beginner. Therefore, I am also tempted to buy Meinl trombone version to test all tones and determine the one I prefer before buying a genuine didgeridoo (you understand that I am really delighted with the instrument!).
I wonder also if the DDG-BOX is the best didgeridoo for a beginner, because the sound is less strong and less resonant than a traditional didgeridoo. There nonetheless has some videos on the net that show that the DDG-BOX can sound as well as a classic didgeridoo. I do not regret the purchase anyway.
