Had decided after a while to say goodbye to my iPhone 4 and I've asked something on the Internet. Then yesterday, extended contract in the O2 shop and picked up the HTC One in black (ie not purchased through Amazon). Originally wanted the S4, but after seeing that very often what I heard from ominous display cracks (and the seller in the store confirmed to me that this vA very often occurred in the first models!) But then opted for the One.
So home unpacked and am first impressed: The device looks just very classy, ​​processing is top, gaps and the like me not noticed. As I said, class workmanship, design is also very pretty. The 4.7 "are compared with the 3.5" of my old mobile phones of course again for quite a shovel more, so I have to get used there first. When you hold the phone something central ('m right-handed, which should be important), then you come with your thumb already in all corners. If you hold it, however far (he) below, which is a little more difficult, but that's not a negative point, since you previously know what you're getting yourself;)
The transfer of contacts via Bluetooth did not work out, but lay on the old device, the HTC One had recognized this. So I've taken over the contacts manually (about 1.5 hours)
The display has a very sharp resolution, only the colors are shown mEn somehow very strong and somehow very dark. Have in the app "Tower of Saviors" a direct comparison drawn and the One, the colors compared to the iPhone 4, as already mentioned, very strong is. You have to decide for themselves whether or not the good for one, I find myself so just fine ,
The widgets are okay, what you do not want to throw it away, you need just are brought out here, which has worked quite well. Was a bit orientation / familiarization necessary, but otherwise okay, now it is quicker by hand.
Acoustics for music / videos is on the supplied headphones pretty good, but there are two reasons small minuses:
1. The supplied earphones have a loose contact with me. Have other headphones, so I will not go into it, nor change my device, but something is definitely a no - go.
2. As I looked at yesterday videos (on YouTube), the sound came over quite adamant and quite tinny and has boomed. As background noise so useful, otherwise I would therefore now not want to hear absolutely at full volume music. Get something to mess around in the settings, I suppose.
Photo quality is good to very good. Shot last night at a Turkish wedding a few photos from my parents beforehand which of my little brother, images are aufjedenfall sharp, though, despite the dim lighting conditions, due to the flash but quite bright Again: rumschrauben in the settings. the One seems to have as many options.
Another point of criticism (and by far my greatest, but I will not deduct 2 *, but the phone is too good):
The battery. Had yesterday when unpacking a single charge of about 60%, according to the setup and installation and use of the first Apps (above-called "Tower of Saviors", a Spieleapp that GMX app and Facebook app was also tested) had the cell phone then for a load of about 45%. 15% loss within 1.5 hours with moderate use, I find a bit steep to be honest. So connected, checked again after 40 minutes (the iPhone 4 had after a charging time of 1 hour at the most 40 - 50% recharged) and lo and behold, even gurkt around somewhere in the 50%. Fully charging the device lasts, according to Internet, with included USB cable 3 - 4 hours. Is okay, I invite my equipment basically over night because the logically not in use (except the alarm which should now not have to be a power-hungry), but problematic if you want to get charged "in between". Quasi in ner lunch break or similar, there is not really much to do then, I'm afraid.
Then leave Aufjedenfall last night at 17.25 clock the house with a charge of 77%, power saving mode switched on and on the way to the wedding then some music heard - the trip took about 20 minutes. Granted, I have the phone already used quite extensively (always on Facebook and WhatsApp been, take occasional, played two rounds, just listened to music, here and there a little picture shot). Aufjedenfall had the phone in the evening, when I was back home at about 00.30 clock, a charge of 2%, ie the battery has held 7h. This morning, then, with 100%, auto-brightness and energy-saving mode is turned off then within 2.5 hours from 100 to 45%. Would like to know what the battery as this eats, or if it really is sufficient to close the apps via the Task Manager, which one opens to the Home key on a double "click", or whether the then still work in the background. In this 2,5h vA games were played (Dead Trigger 2 was about the graphically elaborate, were there with uA Real Racing 3, Tower of Saviors, The Layton Brothers, Dark Avenger. All quasi times "is gambles" for short). There's room for improvement. The real acid test is the unit when I squat 12h in the university, let's see how it suggests there.
So far I am from the device until the battery completely thrilled.

Perfect. Apps are immediately opened / closed, stuttering are more the exception (so far only happened in asphalt 8) in games.
Camera:
There remains the opinion. Bichts great, they served their purpose, but knocks me off my feet nich.
Battery performance:
Clear revised. Battery brings me also to lecture-heavy days (8-14 and 16-20 clock) well during the day - energy saving mode switched on, of course.
Longest term for medium-heavy use: ~ 12,5h.

Is unless new, phone still works "properly". However, what bothers me: The mobile phone makes the phone somehow fax ... When calling the O2 hotline for example, when I switch on the speakers, then break in the charming background tune the high notes at times away, if you then disable the speakerphone and reactivated, it works strangely.
Even with normal calls it happened three times that of the other party has so consulted, as if I'd call underwater. This is only 2s, then away. Very strange, but I'll take it in advance purchase, but keep that in mind.
3. Update, St. Nicholas Day (6.12 for those who do not know when that is.;)):
Have two functions of the camera discovered in the I fell in love. Once the "HTC ZOE", which allows you to record, so to speak .gifs (animated pictures). Recording time is approximately 3s, so super to accommodate events such as blowing out a candle on a birthday party (I'm going to make mid-January on the birthday of my little brother also directly times;)) and the ability to record video to film in slow motion. The mobile phone is now me like 2x out of hand ... even from ~ 1.40 m on paved, bestreutem with road salt and ground again from ~ 40cm on the tiles. No scratches, no on / in the display, or anywhere else.
