Outside:
An important aspect of the purchase was that the jacket is not externally applying too much. Typical insulation jackets are characterized often with garish and highly visible colors and still have a most brilliant effect. The Ortovox Piz Bianco not! The color can be designated as compared to the counterparty as Matt. The outer fabric feels just as clearly-quality and also has a Rippstop optics (if the Rippstop really works, I doubt). The white zippers complete the entire look and make even externally clear that the product is not 0815.
Fit:
I would find it pleasant. The jacket is well cut. It is not too far, so you can not tighten loose a fleece jacket or a really thick sweater under the jacket. My selling size M. The length is also optimal. Not too long, but still long enough for the bike ride.
Inside:
Inside the jacket is shiny I do not like yes, but since it is inside and not outside, that is rated neutral. There are respectively one zipper pocket and a pocket with Velcro inside.
Heat:
This jacket keeps you warm really warm! At first I thought that a jacket with this pack size and filling perhaps to - 3 degrees warming. Far from it! On December 28, 2014 had in my parents' village at 22:36 clock, - 18 degrees Celsius. So out there to make a perfect test with the jacket for a longer walk. I had a shell only a Norröna Bitihorn Powerstretch at (fleece pullover with waffle structure). After about 1.5 hours, I finally realized that my body slowly cools down slightly; I but rather my pants (365 Adidas sweatpants) and my shoes ascribe. I would not have thought that!
More meaningful cold tests:
-Daily bike ride in winter at temperatures from -3 to 5 degrees, as the upper part is used in a long-sleeved shirt (normal Eterna shirt, no flannel or other), and Christmas market in various cities, including Bremen - 5 degrees and very windy.
In warm weather, it can happen that you have to sweat during physical activity.
Conclusion:
A really good jacket which is more than worth their money! Top!
