One criticism is the rather loud fan, which is already disturbing even at idle. Under load it is even louder. I've been playing with the idea to swap the fan against a quieter model, but would on the other hand does not lose the guarantee.
The voltage displayed corresponds very precisely with my multimeter.
What I find unfortunate is that the buttons are not illuminated when they are pressed, but that will light only one LED in the display. But for the price, this was probably not possible.
The control over the PC can be by the way, other than as described in the manual, and disconnect without the need for an extra USB cable must be removed.
On the Internet there is the way to Youtube a fairly detailed test (about 25 minutes) in which complains that when changing the voltage, these increases only on the set voltage and only danch drops to the correct value. But I can not test without Oszi. Next there is criticism that the unit was defective already in this 25-minute test. My device remains functional properly, and I have but it never "demanded" correct.

So here now, as promised, the instructions for installing the software on Windows 8 or 8.1:
The main problem was the USB driver that is not signed by Microsoft. Under Win 7, Windows is content with a warning but Win 8 steadfastly refuses to install the driver.
On the web, there are some tricks to get around this. Just google with "unsigned drivers win 8". I liked the illustrated instructions of Code-Bude.net liked best, so I use them here.
Thanks to Raffi!
I write here only a brief summary, otherwise please read on this site.
So there you go.
First of all download the software, but not of special ELV from Reichelt homepage.
Then start Win 8, connect the AC adapter via USB and turn on. After some time, Win 8 starts the driver installation and includes these seemingly also successfully completed. However, the corresponding virtual COM port is provided under "Devices and Printers" with a yellow exclamation mark.
Enter now on Windows, do the following:
shutdown.exe / r / o / f / t 00
and press Enter. Windows will now start again and some selection menus appear.
Here
-Problembehandlung
-Expanded Options
-Starteinstellungen
-Start Anew
. Select
Now select the option to disable 7 Driver Signature Enforcement.
Windows start now new and (only) for this new session the installation of unsigned drivers is now possible. The then installed driver works then but also during subsequent normal boats.
If that's now quickly went easy on the above page read again in peace.
Choose a Well under "Devices and Printers" Virtual Com Port and "Update Driver". The downloaded at Reichelt (and unpacked!) File specify.
Now the installation should run through and be gone the yellow question mark and be a "Korad Com Port" since. Including the name of the port would be, in my COM3
Start now the setup of Reichelt file and restart the installed program. The Select COM port (COM3 with me) and that's it.
The program window is slightly compressed. But this will change when you maximize the window
For me at least it works flawlessly.

Before now anyone complains, I had these instructions from the ELV side swiped: The contribution to ELV is also from me.
