I bought for my son this trekking SKS mudguards, because at the preinstalled Cheap fenders for a short time an attachment was terminated. Spare parts separately - of course does not register! If one believes the bicycle dealer, the first advantage of the SKS mudguards would be that it (unlike the no-name cheap parts) and "20 years" are individually spares. Overall, the fenders make a very solid impression and would be quite simple and easily can be attached when ... but more on that below the same more. As a small disadvantage I feel only times that you still need a set of bars to buy separately to the mudguards if they are to be properly secured stable. After all, the cost is not the world, also has a solid, can be easily mounted with the protective plates together and then ensures a very tight fit of the mudguard. The front fender SKS I had assembled in minutes - fits perfectly, sitting stable and looks good. Now a significant drawback: The rear fender unfortunately I could not mount because the cross tube between the seatstays for fixing the fender a vertically drilled hole (top to bottom) has, during the SKS has only mounting accessories for a horizontal hole. Just like the front, but here fits the mounting, because the fork has a horizontal hole. To mount the rear fender anyway, so I would have to drill a hole into it and then turn right from below a vertical fixing screw through. A "review" of our "fleet" existing 7 wheels showed that only three frames back on a horizontal hole but have four frames on a vertical. Not on the wheel for which it was bought, unfortunately - so that the rear fender would not mount for this reason alone to more than 50 per cent of our wheels. (We have, incidentally, trekking bikes in the price range of 250 euros to> 1,500 euros and the orientation of the borehole has nothing with "cheap" or "expensive" to do but apparently at random varies depending on the manufacturer.) Of course, one could argue now: "Even guilt - you should inquire in advance whether the parts fit." This would be, however, first advance exactly look at his bike frame and secondly then try to recognize in the attached and of course sealed plastic bag with screws, washers, mounting brackets, etc. if a suitable attachment is included. Have fun - and an online order here at Amazon, of course, a fortiori, where the screw-mounting product range is not completely displayed. So I instead "fit anywhere" rely on the testimony of the bicycle dealer. Since this in itself very high acting mudguards but again nowhere can be mounted on all four wheels, I do not give more than 3 stars since it would certainly be possible without any problems and hardly more expensive to equip the guards with a corresponding bracket for vertical holes drilled. Since, where they fit, they have however deserves 5 stars - because the quality seems very good to me.
