Since 2 weeks I have the Acer Liquid Gallant Duo and am
largely satisfied. I use it to my private and at the same time
to use my official SIM card in one device.
However, I do not want to play with the device, my main applications are
- Phone calls / access
- Calendar, Tasks, Contacts
- Simulator (StyleTap) for a few important old Palm programs
- If necessary (but rarely): mail, surfing, navigation
Processing / Quality:
Solid. The housing is made of plastic while / plastic, it makes everything
but a good impression. The gap dimensions are correct and it rattles and cracks
so far nothing.
The only button on the back is a bit strange (I personally
would like to have 3 hardware buttons).
The voice quality is decent, as well as screen resolution and sharpness.
The processor is perfectly adequate for my purposes, the RAM with 1 GB tidy
dimensioned.
I was the first unit a little too big, would have preferred a 3.8 "display had, you get used to

Battery:
The battery is of course often the weak point of a smartphone.
With a dual sim still happens that two simcards
is sent / received.
When the phone but not primarily want to use to play and the
bells and whistles turned off, you get quite on
respectable times.
Example: my second charge cycle I after 5 days
still had 15% Kapaziät, but under the following conditions
- Dark background static, weak brightness
- Off gimmicks such as location services, periodic get mail, etc.
- Data connection and WLAN only when needed

massive use.
System / Steering:
Android 4, largely "floor" version.
Rooting and ROM own produce (for example, the whole senseless
Youtube, Facebook, etc. - to remove apps), is still pending - one

The dual SIM functionality is very well integrated into the system.
You can manually choose before each call that you use SIM
or want to make automatic adjustments. Different
Coloring of both SIM services are almost impossible confusion.
UMTS can be used for one of the two cards (regardless of slot)
