Some getting used to is the oblique positioning of the date, but most likely has technical reasons: Had Casio they want to install just on the right, would be either the number "3" completely ceased to exist, or the display would have to be significantly smaller, because more inward would have been the only way to still be able to accommodate every 31 days on the number plate. - That reminds me of this model had but well-liked because of the four major numbers (3, 6, 9, 12), I consider the oblique arrangement of the date for a successful compromise.
When the battery actually holds the promised 10 years, the clock will probably never need a battery change with me. This would, however, somewhat more difficult, because the bottom of the clock is screwed robust, and can therefore only be opened with special tools. - But but it is also water resistant to 10 bar, may therefore remain while swimming if necessary the arm sometimes. - Oh yes: Although it concerns with Casio to a Japanese company, is made of this model, however, (as well as many other products) in China, such as embossing on the back of the case reveals.
Finally, I would like to discuss briefly the two main criticisms that have been mentioned in many other reviews:
For problems with the reduction of the bracelet, I can only say that I personally had no problem with it; and special tools I have to also not required: A thin nail is completely sufficient to push one of the connecting webs to a certain extent, and using a small pliers can this then be fairly easy to remove. (On "YouTube", there are several video clips showing the procedure in detail.) - Do you have to remove more than one member, I recommend to do so evenly on both sides. Although this means a bit more work, but it remains the closure at the same position; otherwise, it is later that may be slightly on the side of the wrist, which reduces the wearing comfort.
The frequently mentioned "tweet" (by pinching the Armbehaarung in bracelet) joined me on the first day only three or four times on. Since then I have not noticed it yet again, even though I have an "average" hairy arm and carrying the clock every day. - Perhaps this is but also that my final clock already had a similar bracelet, and the hair on the left wrist, where I carry the clock over the right wrist is now less pronounced.
Since these two are frequently expressed criticisms thus not important for me, I forgive for this Casio Edifice model full marks (5 Stars), especially since they might not exactly "cheap", but for the quality is definitely favorable.
