I bought the cable as a replacement for the original cable my Galaxy 3, which contacts were already completely worn out in the plug. Now the cell phone charges properly again and also data connections are stable and without interruptions. The cable itself is made of fairly robust and high quality material added. It is relatively thick and therefore rigid, but I suppose for a higher mechanical stability gladly accept. The gold-plated connectors have to be considered in my opinion, rather than snake oil, because they at the contacts do not appreciably affect the contact resistance, but they look quite nice. Conclusion: for the price really money well spent.
