Sufficient size for normal sized Vierpfotler, practically removable upper shell for the purpose of starting and need cleaning. Most scratching attempts are intercepted by the cover before they litter the floor. Cats are just so - this is known. For me still an absolute buy recommendation, but the price because you can not go wrong.
