I use the adapter to simultaneously can remotely watch via headphones with volume control and a surround system. In addition I have the adapter to the satellite receiver connected headset off and let's go. Now my wife can look nice and quiet away while watching the baby monitor and I control my volume on the headphones individually.

Conclusion: good product at a fair price
