Solid with potential for improvement

For the price quite recommendable. Some features that were missing me, I could cover with the Synology DiskStation Surveillance software. So I eventually missing is a higher resolution and wide-angle. The SD resolution, however, is to get over, because moving objects blur and not better identified than in eg the Logitech Alert series with HD resolution.

Weak though is the web interface, which is expected to come with a lot more features. But at least there are opportunities to replace this. For example, records them on rights of very limited duration, they can be transferred except to the SD card only via FTP or e-mail: FTP was I not at all up and running, by email worked after X attempts then suddenly, without that the settings have been changed.
A tip to improve the notifications and an external recording, the Surveillance software on the Synology Disk Station. In combination so that the camera works as it should (only one activation / deactivation of the move would be desirable).

After all the criticism we must not forget what these cameras cost. And it makes the DCS-942L their job quite decent, I think.
Without the Synology solution my requirements would have been not fulfilled.
