I have the Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 now for almost a year and have not been disappointed so far. I can with the CPU itself games like BF3 or DayZ still play on high settings with 30-60 fps. It should be noted that I have, however, the CPU overclocked to 3.4GHz. You could also go further, however, I would have the power to raise and I do not want. Temp: IDLE: 39 degrees; Load: 52 degrees. My system consists of: CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.4GHz (CPU cooler: Arctic Freezer 7) GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX550Ti Ram: 4GB Geil Black Dragon DDR 2 Ram Mainboard: Abit IP35E All in all still a reasonable assortment although I could install in the CPU even without having any disadvantages, a slightly better graphics card, I think a GTX750Ti or R7 260X should be well fired from the CPU still legal.
