SoM - The Best Game (! For SNES, apart from Sim City) ... exciting, exciting, entertaining, a real classic consoles

... I must sometimes give my two cents. "Secret of Mana" - for Super Nintendo console, now available as an emulation to it - for all, unfortunately, have no more old console - again to gamble on the PC, is indisputably a classic.

It has produced some followers or imitators and the soundtrack to the game then became as seperate Audio CD. The whole structure of the game is constructed so complex - ie. with a little patience and leisure for and general enthusiasm for longer stories and actions, you have not even with cheats after a few hours - which you then still needed a consultant for games. This is here for and which can also be very important - ie. if you do not want permanently to the Internet. Because it contains useful information, preview images and maps to the game.

Why? Apart from the absolutely gorgeous composed music always fits absolutely perfect for each presentation and the places where you are currently in the game. There is often very quiet, almost contemplative moments and, sometimes abruptly, the next moment (of course ... most common being for bosses) moments where you know immediately from now should focus precisely.

The appearance of various localities has been set here accordingly in scene. At the beginning of the meisst very cheerful, colorful and often very colorful illustrations, the range extends to later quite gloomy, gray, overcast, - misty and creepy. So this game has both, so something appropriate for the eyes and ears to offer.

The German translation, peppered with plenty of quotations or allusions does the rest to ensure that no monotony arises. Insiders now know only too well who was just responsible for it. ^^ Thus again a nostalgia bonus.

I can only recommend (also Erstspielern, even regardless of age and thus clearly inferior pixel resolution - in 2D - this title), it simply times to try. The story was already indeed often treated here by and large.

But I describe them (Caution - SPOILER!) Simply taken time together:

If you have but too defensive selected, the same can happen. Because then both will always try to hide, where they remain also often hang.

Here the KI was then unfortunately severely limited and in need of improvement, but it is also the only, or at least known to me, a disadvantage of this game. What can be (only for emulation!) Although resolve with some cheats now partially, but this lowers the whole game a little. I would therefore generally always recommend that it still without trying.

You should easily find a good balance for gambling his own figure or (the best solution - because true "Secret of Mana" actually meant here once, - also a novelty for its time and games of this type!), Just yet Search players to then control the other two characters - two - real. This applies to the old console version as well (today relatively simple stable DSL - Internet connection possible) the emulation of this game here for the home PC. But alone it is to be recommended. If ... and when I again sometime low DETERMINED me today a used console, then really only in conjunction with at least one of the mentioned titles. The best but also with the games: "Mortal Kombat" (uncensored), "Street Fighter 2", "Mystic Quest - Legend" and "Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Past".

All of these games and many more have been with me through many beautiful old times. I can really only fully highly recommend. Would even go so far as to assert that now huge variety of games for the old Nintendo console or SNES Sony have never achieved with his Playstation and SEGA having its Dreamcast.

For example, although in the latter two, the built-in hardware far more opportunities offered while Nintendo later often lagged behind, here's a game feeling has held (probably because of the poorer options ... but, for a true retro style) that's still worth it today, which he is given a fair chance.
