Granted, I was a bit skeptical when I put it in my CD player, because otherwise I do not really listen as a kind of music. But somehow grabbed me this album gradually more, at first you feel it might just as "strange" and "hectic" with repeated listening, however, I found the songs are all great! The sound is new and different, exactly what I might have needed time. The texts I find also very good, mostly ironic or sarcastic and prove that MIA is also a good songwriter.
Of course there are a few highlights on the CD, that would be for a "Boyz", which of driving beats and drums only as sprays and stimulates definitely dance, the song "Jimmy", I also found relatively quickly top , The song is somehow different from the rest of the songs, the "Bollywood" - style, I would say. Then there were still "World Town", which goes off really, because from time to time be held rhythm-changes and it sometimes gets hectic. In addition, of course, "Paper Planes", the only way of defying sarcasm. Also, the song has a great melody with some cool beats, and the chorus has become for me an absolute earwig. Although is one of the slower songs on the album, but one of the best!
Also I must mention that the cover and the booklet are designed really great. Creative, new, colorful.
I'm glad to have discovered MIA and hope that they will soon have more success with their music in Germany.
