While Lizzy Gardner, a private investigator in Sacramento, at the beginning of the book deals with some rather inconsequential appearing cases and you get to know their team, but also the shadows of their past are portrayed apparently unrelated crimes in flashbacks. Until the story journey takes, it takes a while - but then it goes in a fast pace.
The protagonists are, perhaps apart from Lizzy's friend Jared, pretty tough characters. That seemed to me sometimes a bit annoying, but that's a matter of taste. In the last third of the story, there were a few question marks; this could also be explained so that I was present an uncorrected advance reading copy.
Linguistically can also try readers who have their first English book ahead of them at this novel entirely.
All in all, TR Ragan an exciting thriller succeeded the one puts aside after initial lengths reluctant.
